My mind is starting up with me again telling me maybe I don't have a serious problem, maybe I could have a drink or two after my evening meal once in a while, that if I control my drinking then I won't get into trouble again.

    So annoying!:o

It's been like that all week for me too. I keep thinking - perhaps I will set myself say 20 AF days for June so I can have a drink at the weekends. But I've already been there and it doesn't work. Or at least it hasn't done so far.

And I know if I have a drink, I will be disappointed anyway, as it won't be as nice as I was anticipating.

BUt then I thought - perhaps I can just have a couple of 'good quality' local beers each weekend ..... but then realise it won't be enough..

As you say SOOOOO Annoying

My brain tells me that too! In fact, my brain has a long, long list of reasons why drinking is ok .. it's pretty sad when I need to find a different opinion from my own brain, but I've learnt that pretty much the rest of the world is far more sensible than it :)
  • Exactly :D ...... It's just something else to dry when you get out of the shower :rotfl::rotfl:

Lol, yeah .. and how smug can I be on those SOAs? £0pm on haircuts?! Indeed!

BHB and FOAB - why are we like this. It's unfair. I keep thinking if I went out and only brought enough money for two half pints of beer and then stop after that so then I wouldn't get drunk.

But then I think what would be the point of that!:p

  • 115K, I wish I knew!

In some vaguely nondescript way, life drunk just seems 'better' .. maybe it's being able to conveniently forget all the troubling (embarrassing!) things we've all done .. which would be great, if we didn't then do more troubling (embarrassing!) things and make things worse.

I don't know .. it's certainly been something I've been thinking about. Why do I drink? I'll usually settle on "habit" but that's not true .. is more than that. I think I'm happier when I'm drunk .. but only for so long as I'm drunk. Wears off quickly :(

Any ideas, I'm all ears ;)

See how I conveniently glossed over that part ..

.. although curiosity demands to know exactly what goes though 115Ks mind to think my username anything less than pure and innocent :)

I am finding cutting down on sugar really hard. I had a craving for grapefruit with lots of sugar earlier, I would never eat such a thing normally.:D

I was actually going to say the same thing as Winebox about FistSofaBadger, but then I'm a vegetarian so I shouldn't be laughing at sex innuendo concerning animals.:p
