Easy sand is for wooden surfaces which you would normally sand. ESP is for surfaces such as melamine which you can't sand as you traditionally would and which paint otherwise wouldn't adhere to. So which is better depends on what you are getting ready to paint.

    Hope that makes sense.

Just a pointer - if you are looking for Easy Sand in B&Q, it is stocked with the paint strippers - I had a heck of a time the other day trying to get some as the staff had never heard of it - took me quite a while to find it

I didn't realise it was just for wooden surfaces, I used it on a melamine bookcase and it was fine. :)

Hi shabby chicers, long time lurker here dipping her toe in

I have found this fab sideboard, a bargain so far at £4.99 finishing tonight.

Do you think a newbie could do it or is it too big a challenge?

Could it be sanded and varnished or would it have to be painted cream?

    Thanks

    Ooooh I won it for £5.50! :j:j:j:j
