Oooo thats really tormenting. Dont forget now! Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
Hello shabby chic lovers...really glad this thread is still going with such enthusiasm
Found this blog whilst browsing and thought you'd love to see it. You can't believe that 4 pictures down the piece of furniture she transformed would look like that!

Thanks Bex, it is a huge improvement, it feels much more spacious.
I used kitchen cupboard paint from B&Q I can't remember which brand but the colour was champagne. I think I will have used just under 3 tins (or plastic pots if you are looking for it!) of the paint when it's all finished, the paint was about £14 each and I bought sandpaper, liquid sander and some decent paintbrushes which I found helped minimise brush marks and some steel wool which I didn't really need as it gave a great finish anyway.
So in total I think the cost would be around the £60 mark, well unless you count the accessories lol! But not bad for what feels like a brand new kitchen.0 -
This is the progress now. Getting there slowly between other projects!0 -

I've had a really crummy dayHubby an d me had a blazing row this morning and it is still unresolved as he is at work now.Didn't help that in the middle of it an ebay parcel arrived.Whoops.He got upset 'cos I wasn't listening to him talking about prime minister and 2nd world war.I was busy trying to find a tel no to arrange a childminder at the time.Next door were drilling.Eldest daughter was talking and baby screaming.Sigh.I told him the reason I wasn't listening was 'cos I was busy and he was talking about something that didn't affect us right now (slightly ignorant I know).Well it went down like a lead balloon.
Thinking to take my mind off it I might paint my filing cabinet this eve in antique white.:).Huggles to all who want/need them x:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010
