Georgia, that is a brilliant idea. I think that is do-able. I could make ties backs too, and seat pads, and a cushion for the sofa. What about the walls then? Stripes?

Gingababe, it was ebay, paid £31 for the set, thanks again to Shirlgirl for finding it x

DH is on the way to pick up the dresser, it's only a couple of miles away so hopefully he won't be long. I can't wait.

i've just post in the sewing room my finially finished patchwork quilt. i love it. bit wonky and puckered in some places on the back. but for a first attempt at a patchwork quilt i'm very chuffed with result.

I've just found a reallly nice dresser up here on Gumtree for £25, I don't have space for it, but it might do someone here? http://glasgow.gumtree.com/glasgow/55/62585955.html

Toile update! I've just bought 4 meters from LA, as it is in the sale at £5.80 ish at the moment. I'm going to make the blind with it and a trim, tiebacks and pelmet for the other window.
I might try and get some similar fabric to the other curtains so I can do the same to the blind. It is all on hold until I finish everything else off first though, of course!

The dresser is gorgeous, just perfect!

have i missed a post with a pic of your gorgeous new dresser ? or did you not post a pic ?

i've just asked hubby if i can shabby up the entire dining table , but he not convinced he does love the solid natural pine look of our huge chunky pine table. however if i actually get my butt into gear and finish the two project i have under way already. he might change his mind, lol.

No I didn't post a pic, here is the ebay one:

It is exactly the same style as the sideboard apart from the knobs and looks great in the room.

Hmm tough one if your DH isn't keen it's more stress to make it look great, can you take him to see some that have been done up locally?

Have I told you all yet how happy I am lol!

My parents have got the wedgewood country plates full set of 16 ( last listing on the link above) i have to say when i was younger i thought they were gross. and although now i wouldn't want them in my home there is something beautiful about them. you look at them and your immagination just goes crazy and you can picture yourself living in the country and enjoying the country life.
