Well I guess I spoke too soon. The seller has now decided that they didn't want it to go for that price and that it didn't meet their 'reserve' price (there was no reserve on the auction!!), plus it is for sale elsewhere so they are refusing to complete the sale :( we don't want to pay the money through paypal just so we can go through the dispute process so I guess I'll start the fireplace search again...*sigh*

That's a shame bibbitybob. Mind they don't open a non paying bidder on you to get their fees back. They could also try asking you to cancel the sale through eBay as this will get them their fees back too.

Done nothing of any worth today except buy more stock and relax in preparation for the chaos that is the six and a half week holiday starting on Thursday!

Spent ages reading through all your posts...Im in need of some ideas!!

Just bought a summerhouse...busy painting it at the minute (never ending job dodging all the rain showers)

As its not possible to decorate our house in shabby chic style, have decided to go this route with summer house... at the minute, outside is cream...inside possible a cream wood wash...

Ive bought wicker sofa and coffee table from ebay...(with green and cream checked covers, so until i decide to recover these..this is colour route Ill go)

I cant wait to start buying bits and bobs, to decorate it inside ( and out)!!!

evening fellow shabbiers...I have been lurking for a while on here and don't think I've commented but I didn't want this little beauty to pass us by... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sewing-Box-/220637443535?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_Crafts_Sewing_Supplies_MJ&hash=item335f0435cf

I really really want it but can't justify the space - as I have four sewing boxes already, which I can't bear to part with. It looks perfect for shabbying up :)

If anyone lives near Durham I was in Laura Ashley at the Arnison Centre today and I got 2 rolls of their Cloudywing wallpaper marked slightly imperfect for £4.85 a roll. The original price for this wallpaper is £22  a roll, and on the wesite it is in the sale for £9.90 a roll.

It has a white background and pink pearlescent butterflies, some which are made up of flowery patterns. I am busy decorating our spare room for when our 3 yr old Grandaughter stays over and have decided to use this as a feature wall.

Gorgeous Summer house, please post your photos!

Please, please everyone cross everything for me. The perfect dresser ends soon on ebay and I want it so much lol!

Finished the table today and I am so in love with it, I feel so proud of our home now, and to be honest I've never been very happy with it, but it's starting to feel like somwhere I can see us staying in now.
