I had a good Car Boot trip today, Got:
A briliant book with loads of DIY interior designy projects, most of which are SC, 50p.
Long wide lined curtains in heavy blue textured fabric £3. I have some ideas buzzing round my head for the lounge/dining room which is all open plan and these are a pefect place to start.
Cube pouffe footstool with dark legs £3 - It's in new condition in a really nice aubergine colour but I want to reupholster to match.
Huge, ornate gold mirror for the dining room £4.

I am very, very happy as these were things I needed, There were also a few stalls selling shabbied up furniture which gave me the kicku[p the bum to crack on with my sideboard, I'll take some photos later this evening as it's as good as finished now.

Georgia, your cupboards are so clever, and lovely to look back at the old toys!
Polly, what a\sweet apron, I do have a love of red gingham.
Vix, I still haven't put anything in my aneboda wardrobes, I'm looking for a cheap roll of wallpaper that will match my bedding though.

What do you think of this??? I won it on ebay earlier today for £10.

I plan on painting it white and putting a blue/white cushion on it.

    Hello ladies,
I have followed this thread for sometime now...am not particularly creative and wouldn't know one end of a sewing machine from another but am buying a new house and want to do it up myself. So tell me, how on earth do I make myself one of these:
    http://www.ilovefreegle.org/

I cannot tell you how in love with this chair I am! I want one!!!! Help!!!!
Ypu'd need to get a wing back chair and remove the cover, use the cover as a template for making the new cover. Obviously the new cover would be made out of different fabrics sewn together. It's an ambitious project. I have 4 wingback chairs awaiting recovering and even 24 metres of fabric (about 12 metres are needed per chair) but I'm too chicken to start.

Thank you x The paint is LA "Linen" eggshell, and the wood is sanded down to the bare wood then I used a dark oak danish oil. The colours on the photo have come out a little darker and cooler though.
The footstool is in a really lovely fabric, it feels expensive, it's a crime to remove actually but it doesn't go at all as it is. The colours on that photo came out lighter though lol! If I can take the cover off very carefully I can send it to you if you think you could use it? PM me if you want it, I can't bear to throw it away. You may be waiting weeks if not months though as it is so far down the list of things to do!

ETA, is yours the lounge with the hanging felt hearts - if so then yes, it would go!
