Thanks, here is another cupboard I did up for the toyroom. It's an underwater scene and the two fish with the yellow faces are the handles that I made out of MDF. I painted inside the doors as well and I've put a message in a bottle which has the date I did it on the paper, and there's a treasure chest with some gold identity bracelets with my children's names on.

Anyone up for a challenge? This is the first time I've visited this thread, but having just exchanged on my first home purchase :jI'm now on the lookout for furniture.

In the master bedroom there are two alcoves either side of where the bed will go (83cm wide, 45cm deep and 215cm tall before they arch to the ceiling). I think a pair of white shabby-style wardrobes would look lovely, and realistically they're the only place for any wardrobes to go!

I've done this hunting for a wardrobe to fit in an alcove thing before and it is a bit of a nightmare! If you want some thing really cheap have you considered these Ikea ones...

They are the ones with the corrogated plastic in the doors but you could take that out and fix some fabric there instead (either staple it or put little curtain wires top and bottom. You could change the handles too. The wardrobes would stick out by 5cm but that wont look too bad. They would be a really good width for you (especially if you have measured wall-to-wall rather than skirting board-to-skirting board - i made that mistake once!)

I have the drawers by Aneboda IKEA and I put pretty paper napkins behind the plastic and they look much better :) A great cheap solution. Heres a photo:

That furniture is lovely Georgia. I wish I could do things like that! That cupboard looks great, too Vikki x

Right, here is the start, a crumpled heap on the ironing board:

    Which then became this:

Not quite as exciting as I wanted it to be. The embroidery took ages, but I have plans to use this in other forms. It is called Amish embroidery or 'Chicken Scratch' and looks fabulous up close. :)

Any car boots today? I want to see some bargains even if I can't get any!
