Danemi1 glad someone else answered the sewing machine question because I haven't got a clue - just about know how to do my own and sometimes get that wrong lol.

Jennishrew I would definitely paint the sewing box ... I've seen some done and they look beautiful.

Will upload pictures of my bootsale finds soon :)

Small dining table would do maybe and then you can get some little drawers to put underneath it?

I'd go for a dressing table though personally.

pennib. I love your drawers, I don't think I've ever said that before.
    Well done every one,
danni? I do hope that your sewing machine is sorted out, when I said last night that it made me laugh, it was in a nice way. I had visions of a David Bailey type, getting all the angles right daahling.
I think this is what I love about this forum, everyone, well almost everyone's really helpful.

Vicki did you go to Boreham boot fair? I went too this Sunday but I didn't find anything of interest. Do you know what time it starts if that's the one you go to.

Oh and the blind is an austrian blind. I had one in the late eighties /early nineties.

so excited - am jumping up and down - nearly!!!! My friend has been to craft club here tonight - and when I opened the door I greeted her with I NEED YOU - please can you help = it has taken her an hour and a half to sort the machine out - the winder on the top was jammed and in loosening it the metal spool had gone out of shape and thats what was in the machine - the thread wasnt going around the tension disc correctly and we changed the needle as well - lots and lots of adjusting and coaxing and we are there - the winder on the top still sticks terribly so have wound onto the metal spool by hand. I have almost completed my bunting but have run out of triangles so thought I would sit and cut some more out now they have all left for the evening but I just had to come on and tell you all - thanks for your help earlier - much appreciated. She is going to come back on Thursday evening and give me a sewing lesson - she is a member of the embroidery guild and to be honest there isnt many crafts she cant do - so jealous - me I am a beginner at most things but hey ho - I am enjoying myself - esp now the machine is getting better - lol - thanks so much everyone
