Just to say I love this thread and all the wonderful make-overs you do.

I have one of those Lloyd Loom laundry boxes and don't think it's ever had a cushion either. What makes you think there was one? I'm interested.

Mine is in that bluey colour too and I use it to store spare loo rolls and stuff in the bathroom.

I've been reluctant to paint mine because of the goldey bits and because I'm not sure I should be meddling with original??
I also have two LL chairs with horrible plastic covered padded seats. I was thinking of maybe making big cusions to go in those are they're a bit low and I wanted to use them in the garden.
    Any views?

Apologies if I've come across a bit preachy, not intended:o

Afternoon all **waves a happy Monday afternoon wave** Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

Just popped in to show you what I bought at the CBS yesterday. First there's this:

Which cost me £3. I have great plans for this along the lines of these. Not sure I want to paint it though, it's been lovingly stripped by somebody and the wood is a lovely mellow aged colour. What do you think?

I'm really proud of this part tea set. There are 6 cups, 5 saucers, 5 tea plates, a sandwich plate and a sugar bowl and I paid £1 for the lot. Here it is:

And just for danemi1 here is a pic of my doorstop iron when it was blue. It's now painted shaker green but the paint is still wet - I'll post a pic when it's dry. Thanks for pushing me into doing something with it!

I'm not usually that lucky, just hit the jackpot yesterday! Didn't even have to haggle over the teaset, she asked for a quid and I had my money out and the goodies in my bag mega quick before her OH could say she wasn't asking enough!

The sad thing is that the tea set was in a plastic box under the table with a load of old tat, and there was another saucer but it was broken. Some people eh, I could have slapped the woman for being so careless!
Oh dear, here we go again.

This is a butler's tray that I picked up at a CS about 18 months ago and has been languishing in my garage until the weekend!

Debsi; I remember when Bury market used to have livestock (chicks/rabbits etc), as well as the usual stalls, it was wonderful.

Jennyjelly; that stall is nice, if it was mine I would just paint the sides and leave the top sanded (but that's me!) love your other bargains that teaset is a lovely shade of blue. We dont have many bootsales up here booo.
