no the throws are for in the lounge. so they will be shades of purples, aubergine an lilac. i've been buying similar sqaures to these.

so far i've prob bought about 9 bundles of sqaures and i just keep buying them as i see them so i can make sure hopefully i have enough matching ones to tie both the quilts in together.

i also made a cushion which was my first project.

i plan to make a couple more of these once the quilts are finished and i found this cushion on ebay which i thought i might try and make a similar one on design.

but that might have to wait a couple of months as i've got so many projects underway, lol.

I love your cushion :D (better than my 1st attempt :rotfl:) I always buy my squares from Carol (1st link) as she is very helpful and a great seller :D
I will post pic's of my covers when I have put the backs on (hopefully today :o)

i've not bought as much from carol as i have cotton sqaures. My mil only buys from cotton squares. i was really lucky i'd bought so much from cotton squares that she sent me a message an offered me a mix match bundle of purples and lilac's. 80 squares for about half what the cost should be. i was very pleased. it was a great boost in my stash. i'm planning on making the kids a snuggle cushion each about 2ft square in patchwork in a kiddie design for them to have on the floor in the lounge for when they want to sit on floor playing or watching a dvd etc.

oh bargain bird thats lovely. would make a stuning lamp table.

pennib my stash isn't that big at the mo. as i've made 12 squares of 16 squares for the quilt. i've just bought some purple cotton to see what the colour is like from ebay and if it is nice then i will buy more and use that for the borders and back of the quilt. i am thinking of using either 4 oz or 6oz wadding so it nice and snuggly. once i get ideas in my head i can't seem to stop craftying and making.
