Welcome AJ it is addictive isn't it and a fabulous and very talented bunch on here. Without them I honestly don't think I'd have done as much as I have.

As for the paint I used Gingababe it is Homebase waterbased eggshell. I gave the legs a rub down with sandpaper, then a coat or 2 of undercoat/primer (got mine in B&Q, own brand) and then the eggshell on top. Then a light rub with sandpaper to 'shabby' up the edges. It all dries quite quickly and is easy to work with. HTH x

Brilliant price for good wallpaper, I just cant decide which one I want for my hallway. I really would prefer one of these by Amy Butler but DH doesnt like any of them!

Has anyone on here tried the Black Magic paint that is sold on Ideal World tv. I been given some and am looking forward to trying it, especially as it says no primer or undercoat needed and only needs one coat for most things!

Please tell me that it is as good as it sounds:p

Haven't posted for a while but saw your post Newmee and had to reply to you.
With wallpaper you get 3 drops to a roll for patterned wallpaper for 8ft drops,if not patterned then its 4.Didn't know which was your drop measurement but if its the 277cms i would still say 3 drops or lengths, whichever you would like to call them.
    Hope this helps you:D

left it as it was underneath Seakay. I read somewhere that if it is all intact just to leave as it was and I don't have the know-how to get too complicated. Didn't seem to make a difference though so all good!

Good news! It's so smooth on top that I assumed that you had had to do some clever upholstery stuff underneath.
Thanks for the tip - love no hassle ways of getting a good look!

You know that little china bird that was on here on the bedroom shelf a few pages back (I am sorry I can't remember whose room it was in and I am too lazy/tired to hunt it out) well it is on the front page of Julys Ideal Homes Magazine that I bought today, its on the coffee table. I have a few of these and they are £1.50 - £3.oo from Wilkinsons, it made me smile.
