hermum that oven glove is gorgeous.
in my kitchen i'm thinking either cupcake or chicken design. chicken for me give a very rustic country homely style. cupcakes are a cute , sweet pretty deisgn. think i'm swaying more to the chicken's. i may not live in country but doesn't mean my home can't be warm and rustic and homely imo.
My Gisela Graham chicken salt and pepper pots just arrived. I am drooling over them when I should be getting ready to go to the craft fair in the next town. Thanks for the heads up on them. I have a particular liking for chickens ever since I bought a rather large one called George from Bruges. I ended up paying more to bring him back on Ryan Air than I paid for myself. He is definitely worth it though.
I would definitely go with the chickens in the kitchen. Really cheerful
Right off to the fair/flea market. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0 -
hermum what or where is cs's ? for fabric
Bibbity, Thanks for the sainsburys, chicken range I shall take a look in the week.
JCR, I also like the cupcake, but think that it will have a limited shelf life. Chickens are for life.
I've picked up some lovely chick bits from car boots, charity shops etc. I do prefer vintage bits & pieces really. As I'm not a purist & want things for the decorative value I don't mind too much if there's a chip on things, as long as it can be strategically placed so that it's not seen & that way have got some real bargains.
I must soon start putting on some pics of some wonderful bargains that I've bought.
Thank you to everyone who's posted the links for the free samples will peruse them later & order enough to paper the entire house,. I need cheering up, my daughter was home for a few days & has now gone again & don't know when I'll see her next.
But I have got my new, second hand dog.0 -

Have a *hug* hermum and let's form a 'need cheering up' group!
I cleaned and tidied my kitchen up this morning so I could take some 'final' photos before I start packing, although I'm still not sure whether we'll be moving or not. I'm so bad at waiting patiently0 -

Group hug sounds just up my street. Is there something in the air?
Back from the craft fair/flea market. It was in the next big town so 35 minute drive. Got there and it was definitely more of a flea market, or rather a flea small side show. There were about 12 stall and everything was, to say the least, a bit past it. Nothing at all worth buying. Really disappointed. Anyway at least I have had a productive day and sent for lots of samples. I am currently bidding on this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250629095901&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT#ht_500wt_1169. I dont intend to increase my bid if anybody else bids higher but I have some nice paper lined up for a makeover. I may be coming back to ask for help if I get it! I saw something similar at the fair and it was £22 but nowhere near as good condition. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. So nice to see this thread taking off again - lots of great ideas
Last year we bought a really sturdy dresser from our local charity shop and painted it - hubby was so chuffed with it - he painted it not me - that he's always on the lookout for more bits to paint0 -
Aw, that's absolutely gorgeous. I am so envious.0
