Hahhaha I like the idea of a shabby husband, I promise not to paint you or distress you too much, but I can say that country living is great!!!!!goodgodthatonesevenbigger wrote: »Is it wrong that im a bloke yet quite like some of the shabby chic things lol, not so much the soft furnishings and flowery things but the furnature and the over all old style of things, makes me think of country living and that perfect image of 50's lifestyle. to that end im now bidding on a dresser for my kitchenThriftkitten

As much as I love yer blog Bibbity, I couldn't possibly contemplate crossing the fence hahahaha!!!
It's pure madness in this house, the beach is the only serene part of my lifestyle, 2 kids, 3 pug dogs and 2 sleepy cats, Oh and a full time job as well as my full time job of being mum to so many!!Bibbitybob wrote: »Forget him, I'm up for a house share by the seaThriftkitten

Don't worry m'dear, I'm not that way inclined! How about I offer free kid/dog/cat sitting in exchange for a sea view!?

In all seriousness, your location does sound idyllic. We used to visit Cornwall when I was a kid and I fell in love with the place. Haven't been for years. When I get my caravan and get it shabby chic-ed I'll convince OH he fancies a (long!) drive.
I've been a bit down this week after the mortgage for the new house fell through, but it's looking like we've got another option so all may not be lost. Lots of good vibes and finger crossing pleaseI've not really had the heart to do anything house or shabby chic related but hopefully once we've got the new mortgage in place we've been told we'd be looking at a 3 week completion  best get packing!
