    Erm, like the whiry fan noise you can normally hear, but 10 times louder :confused:

    Desktop. It's not doing it all the time, every 10 minutes or so for a minute, maybe less.

    Mine used to do that spud, needed a new fan as it was overheating, pretty simple to do.

    You should get it done though. It burnt out my hard-drive in the end.
