Spud,
don't get me wrong, sometimes it's hard and I want to cry and rant and scream-but I simply have 1 life to live and I'm choosing to make it a happy one. I just sometimes have to literally FORCE a smile on my face and say 'fook it' and examine WHY i'm feeling sad/mad/angry. Most of the time, I can see it's because of something silly or something I cannot influence, so why let it upset me or ruin a good day? I am also finding that exercising helps.Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -

Right, so it's a case of finding a positive out of a negative then ehh
I have severe self confidence issues (you may have noticed). Need to find a way to improve that too me thinks

Well the sun isn't shining here but DS and I are off for the day with nothing in particular we HAVE to do so all is well despite the rain. Think we might go for a swim later but I might tidy up a bit first.Mortgage OP 2025 £7050/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Lovely post Bun
I agree completely - as I said to you, I've had bouts of depression from the age of 13, peaking about 3 or 4 years ago when I got to the point of being scared to leave the bedroom .
Things changed for me when we started the process of having Ryan diagnosed - I went on a course, that wasn't really even anything to do with depression - it was to do with handling children that have behavioural difficulties.
It taught me that sometimes you have to take responsibility for your own actions and realise you are causing certain things to happen, by your actions or reactions. But also to realise that some things are out of your control, and you can't change them, you can only change how you react to them.
Basically, in bluntest terms - stop whingeing, change what you can, accept what you can't, take the decision to be happy.
I've been through so much the last couple of years, good stuff and bad, and I've been, at times, so hurt and unhappy, but I haven't fallen into the depression spiral, or even felt like I was coming close. I'm cautiously starting to believe I've finally beaten it."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250
