Morning all,
Didn't get on here y/day as I had DGD for the day
. Still managed to get some ironing done and cooked dinner for DD2&SiL2b as well as ours. Used the last of my HM polish so must get ingredients for making more.
Must go to S/field and stock up on half price joints of lamb, gammon, bacon, tiger prawns and chickens, I refuse to pay full price so buy most stuff on special or YS.
Lovely and sunny here so washing on the line.
MSD, I agree with you re-OS about it being about what I don't do, since stumbling on this thread I haven't bought proccesed food and have been baking my own bread and buying copious amounts of s/drops and vinegar.
But I do cut up used envelopes/cards to use for notelets, shoping lists, reminders ect. Make my own polish and paper bricks for the fire. But is that OS? or just M.Saving.
If I mention what I have cooked should that be on the cooking thread? when posting about what chores have been done should that be on Flylady?
I am totaly confused
and feel my posts are boring.
Not OS I know but have to add,
PINK, PENPEN and all BG's you do a fantastic job. :T
HARIBO, Good on yah.

CSARINA, Hope you have some good news from your loved ones out in Mexico. I'm praying that this pig flu outbreak with fade away just as the dreaded bird flu did, don't hear much of that now but at the time the media scared us all with predictions of millions & millions dying.
Take care all, sorry if I've missed out people but still haven't caught up on the last weeks posts.0 -

Hi everyone - I'm just announcing that I am back online after a lot of hassle with France Telecom. I've really missed MSE and this thread and I hope to catch up on everyone's news over the next few days.
It's been very challenging here over the last few weeks and it seems as if we have been here for months when it's only been five weeks!
Anyway, I hope you all have a great day. It's bank holiday here so France is closed for the day. We have friends coming over for lunch then the rest of the day will be spent on the house - along with popping on here when I can!
It's great to be back!

Mioliere :hello: Great to see you back!
Just a quick post today as my Dad was taken into hospital again last night. He had chest pains & shortness of breath. At lease he is at home this time & not stranded in York  The diagnosis that was slowly being arrived at is vasculitus (sp?) which is inflammation of arteries in various places in the body. His seem to be affected in his neck, hence the stroke, and his heart so they're going to do an angiogram to check the arteries & then treat with angioplasty and little stents to keep the arteries open. Hopefully this will sort him out. The doctor in A&E said last night that they'd keep him until this was sorted now :T A year ago he could walk for 6 or 7 miles without a problem and now he struggles to take the wheelie bins down the drive poor thing.
Takeaway for tea tonight as DD and 2 of her friends are getting ready here before a night out & I don't know where I'll be. DH doesn't fancy cooking for 8 people so he's fell back on the chippy as a solution :rotfl:
(((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))) where needed & I'll catch up later on xxx0 -
Hello everyone
Aussie, I await my medal!!
It's a rotten day here, all wet and horrible. Enjoy your sunshine Englanders!!
Welcome back Mioliere, I'm sure you've got some tales to tell. You must have excellent French language skills if you've managed to negotiate your way around France Telecom. Either that or you did lots of shouting:rolleyes::D
Redruby, I hope that doesn't develop any further! Best stay at home with some chocolate (for the iron of course!).
Beth - I enjoy reading your posts, please don't feel you need to change your style cos you don't.
Today's tasks include looking for a job, doing a bit of swishing around with a duster, pushing the vacuum cleaner around and some general tidying up. I can't be bothered to do any more. It's too horrible out there to do any gardening or to even think about putting clothes on the line. I'll have to have a washload hanging around the house as the wardrobe is bare and the laundry basket can barely close.
Have a fab Friday everyone.
Snowy (the Irish for Aussie's benefit, cos she's a bit sloooooooooooooow:rolleyes::rotfl:)0 -
MIOLIERE :hello::hello::hello: WOO HOO :j:T you have been soooo sssooooo missed. Welcome home, well this is your 2nd one

SUNNYGIRL, DDad is in the best place, at last they are going to sort out the problem, hugs to you and yours.
SNOWYOWL, Thank you
