I am a recent convert and have already given away some stuff that it would otherwise have cost me to move. Today I am about to collect my first FREE things.
What has overwhelmed me has been the generosity of Freecyclers in spirit as well as in what they offer. Real lump in the throat stuff.

I do some eBaying of my own stuff in a bid to decrease by debt mountain and had already decided not to get free stuff to sell on as it goes against my ethics. What I DID do was ask for used packaging. I have been upfront about it and been literally overwhelmed by kindness. In fact people are now offering me small things to SELL as well.
As someone who suffers from severe clinical depression Freecycle and this site are beacons of light in an otherwise dark outlook.
Any Freecyclers out there - GOOD ON YOU!!
    Stop looking for answers....
The most you can hope for are clues.....:)

Prefer https://www.dontdumpthat.com myself, ok I admit I am a moderator for one of their forums, but I honestly do think that the format is much much better than Freecycle!

Yahoo groups are terrible for this sort of thing. All of the posts are so separated and elongated that you never know whats going on!!!

Well, I gotten used to Yahoo, altho probably doesn't matter.
It should be up to the owner , i.e. the person who started the local group, and as freecyclers are encouraged to shop local, don't really need a universal e mail.
