That article kind of contradicts everything said about Maestro earlier. I am sure that all operations concerning Xcapewithus are based in Spain.
Maybe someone can confirm?0 -
Many thanks to those who advised on visa chargeback, got my money back this morning.:j0

I was lucky as only paid a £40 deposit last October using Visa Debit. I used the template letter from this site, sent it to A&L, and received my £40 money back in the account 2 days later. Thanks MSE.0

Good to see a couple of good results from Visa chargeback. Thanks for posting.0 -
Well, there's my holiday stuffed!!
Have used xcape with us for years, always been really good. Of course this is the year that I didn't use my credit card as I'd cut it up...doh.
Gutted.
Anyone else booked with them?0 -

Thanks for that - so it's been bust for that long??! Nice for them to notify me, rather than to leave me to find out for myself! :mad:0

Meh. My booking is "not honoured", fortunately I'd only paid £75 rather than the full £500.
I've phoned Natwest as the full balance was due out in June, and I was worried that they may "forget" to cancel that scheduled payment, last thing I need is them stealing £400 odd off me when I'm trying to re-book!
Have got Natwest to send me out a new card so that they wouldn't be able to claim it using the old card number.
Gutted, I was so looking forward to my holiday, it's a hotel I've been to with my family loads, and was taking BF there this year as it's such a lovely place (we're both really fussy & it was nice to know we were going somewhere one of us knew). My mum & dad were going to the same place earlier in the year with other members of our family, so my dad's contacted them on my behalf too asking if they'll honour the prices or at least give us a decent price if we rebook all the rooms. It's a lot in total, s hopefully we'll still get a good deal. Fingers crossed...
As for the deposit, I stupidly booked on my maestro so I can kiss that goodbye!
