Natural live yoghurt can be used in two ways to deal with thrush: eating it and/or inserting it into your vagina. The key is not the yoghurt itself but the bacteria, lactobacillus acidophilus, in the yoghurt. This helps the body maintain, or regain, its natural pH level and keeps yeast under control.

Eating yoghurt may help keep yeast levels low throughout the body, but particularly in the stomach and intestines. Because candida in the bowel can easily make its way to the vulva and vagina, keeping your digestive system clear of thrush may help prevent vaginal thrush.

Inserting yoghurt into your vagina may also help restore your vaginal pH balance, but there is less scientific support for this method. If you want to give it a try, put one teaspoon of yoghurt in an applicator, a plastic syringe or on a tampon, and insert it high into your vagina. Repeat this every night for a week. It is important that you use only unsweetened, plain, live yoghurt.

The active ingredient in this treatment, lactobacillus acidophilus, is also available at health food stores as a supplement on its own.

She told me to eat it! And I did a google and apparently it works if you eat it as a preventative measure, although you can apply it as well.

    Was yummy anyway.

ok couldn't find a pic but here's her birth story
I'd had a show about 11.30am and the pains started. They werent really bad until about 9.00pm and got gradually worse. At 11.30pm ish we went of to labour ward only to be told to go home because i was only 2cm dilated! i was gutted. Came home got in the bath and the pain wasn't really getting much worse. 45 mins later i was kneeling up on thef loor leaning on th sofa and i just knew that i would never make it back to the labour ward. Brian rang the ward who were saying things like, can u see the head - no he couldnt, they decided tosend an ambulance because by ths stage was screaming "Its coming" - Just as the paramedics walked through the door, Lottie was born - flop onto a couple of cushions that I had been kneeling on! Well it was like a comedy sketch - one paramdic was a trainee and eventually decided to check his watch, the woman was flapping about trying to get Lottie warm who had come out still inside her sack! The dog was having a good sniff at this thing on the floor - i ws trying to stand up, with lottie still attached to me and in the meantime the third paramedic came in wth the entonox and said "Oh do we not need it now" My mum ws here she was saying things like "I've never seen a birth before and all i wanted to do was sit on the sofa! They took me of to hospital - we are both fine - they weighed Lot, she was 61b 12oz.
They were really good with us on the labour ward and instead of sending me down to one of the wards they let us stay on the labour ward in our own room till this morning. We came home at 9.30!
The very best is sometimes what nature gives us for free.

I've just been so tired lately and he's been leaving me in bed on a morning to take DS to school. Since i'm a heavy sleeper i'm none the wiser til he comes back and wakes me up, but it's obviously bugging me that i feel so useless. And most days i haven't been getting dressed til after lunchtime cos i'm feeling so sickly and emotional.

Anyway he stopped speaking to me tonight for no apparent reason so i interpreted that as being because he'd been to his ex's for his kids and that he secretly ishes he was back with her etc :o

So we had a huge row and i went on to say i was much happier as a single parent and i could do it again this time round. He said he's not bothered about me and that he couldn't care less i don't want him so i told him to pack his stuff!!
