Well to get a REALLY strong girls name they tend to be something german and conjure an image of a shot putter (not that there is anything wrong with female shot putters obviously!)

I'm considering a 2nd middle name of Haydn which means heathen or fire  I hope I wouldn't be setting him up for failure with such a name to live up to :rotfl: on the bright side Aled means offspring so that one is easy

  • we did have a bit of a laugh over Brunhilde etc. I don't know where the baby name book we had got its names from but it was a right old mix of the bad, the ugly and the downright ridicuolous. DH's fave was Dickla but there was much much worse than that.

Heathen or Fire? Sounds good to me!

How do I find Bejewelled on Facebook? Can I just do a searchie thing and find it?

Feeling absolutely knackered today...had some very strange dreams last night. On top of that, my tummy is very unhappy - not enough to do anything about it, but just making me feel horrid.

Brunhilde was one of the ones in a free name book I got called "100 cool baby names"

Just in case you aren't set on Elsa, have you seen the names thing on babycentre? you can search by meaning here are the girls names for 'Lion'
    http://www.babycentre.co.uk/babyname/results?_requestid=621999

Ps. if it was a girl and she came 2 days late she would have got the extra middle name Hilda AKA "battle" because it was my Gt Gma's name and that was her birthday (hubby said I could only use it if she arrived on the right day:p

  • When my DH pointed out that Elsa didn't mean anything exciting I reminded him that his name means 'small' - that stopped the conversation!
