I always thought about names well before I was pregnant but it is actually much harder to decide, I think, when a REAL person is going to have to live with the name you give them forever (or at least a fair while). I think we have settled on a name for our pink arrival but someone told me that this name is a charactor on Eastenders and their might be a surge on its popularity. Eek. A reason to reconsider?

just a quickie on the names front (I'm in between meetings!)

    As we are team blue

We both like Zachary and have done for a while. I liked Jayden but OH's cousin called her son Jayden so I don't want to look like I'm copying :o

I like Alfie, Jack and Jake as well but OH only likes Jake out of those

When we first got together we named our kids straightaway - 9 years later only one remains a contender. :rotfl:Ready??????????????????

Chelsea (loved it at the time, now everyone seems to know a Chelsea)
    Jake - still a contender
Chardonnay - I blame Footballers Wives and don't think I could bring myself to name a child this now :o

OH's initials are MS and he gets called 'Marks and Sparks' in work

Nicki - ouch! Hope it gets better soon xx

Wouldn't it be odd Glam, given that we joined the thread at about the same time and have due dates not too far apart, if we did in fact both end up on team blue with a Jake each to our names!

Been meaning to post on here for a while as it's such a lively friendly forum. So hi all!

Can I be added to the list please, am due 11th November.

Been reading back though all your posts and looking forward to getting to "know" you all. My company recently went insolvent leaving me a in lot of personal debt, not to mention the stress so I've not really yet had a chance to relax and enjoy being pregnant in any way. Having had my first scan on Wednesday am hoping to relax a bit more from this point on.

In the meantime - I am SO bored, tv is rubbish, anyone have any useful tips for things to do? I'm finding it really hard to motivate myself to do absolutely anything at the moment

On the name front we only have one name, which is why we are keeping quiet!

Welcome Charlie - I know about the boredom thing. I was made redundant from the 1st of Jan! Good luck with the scan

meant to say how freak is this

OH gets digital camera out to take photo of bump - flash goes off and at exactly that moment ALL THE ELECTRIC went off! Well, I !!!!!! myself it was so scary. Anayway the whole street was out for about 2hours but it was so weird how it went off - we went to bed to watch Heroes on the laptop and OH starts saying how he's got a power that can switch the electric off :rotfl:

Now that would be odd - when is your scan and are you finding out?
