Is it really true that newborns can 'look like' a particular name and not like another? I always thought they all looked red and wrinkly!
They do but to their mummies they will always look different ;)

Also like Ryan as well but DH not sure on that and he definatley ruled out Nathan (think bananarama - so I was told its a song of theirs, I'm too young to know!)

    For you:

We're having trouble with a middle name. I was thinking Joanna (a combination of my grandmother's nickname and OH's mother's names), but with the first name we've chosen we're in danger of setting her up for a lifetime of Reefer Madness jokes. Hmmm.

we have kinda settled on a boys name....
i joked to OH one sunday after watching Liverpool thrash Aston Villa that we should call our baby Steven Gerard T.......
now the problem is we both really like that and i know everyone will think we are prob mad for calling our son (dont know if it is) after footballer but OH really likes it and i have really picked the girls names.

Ok, trying to think of Eastenders character who may have a name that will become popular????????? I did like Abigail for a girl but maybe next time!

(Heather or 'Hev', Danielle, Stacey, Ronnie, Shirley, Whitney (there's a contender), runs out of ideas..........)

I don't even watch Eastenders - perhaps I ought to, to see whether this person is revolting or not. It is one of the above (but different spelling)!

No Sami, not knocking Roxy - I also have a friend Roxy but I always think of Roxy Hart when i think of that name...not really the image I am trying to create.

Ok - being cryptic is annoying! The name is Roni. We haven't decided 100% and still unsure about the middle name but I think Roni Mae is cute.

When DS1 was born we had Alicia for a girl and Charlie was our possibility for a boy although I wasn't 100% sure. This time the only name we haven't ruled out is Reece but I'm still not sure as our surname is Jones it might sound too welsh (we're not). Thats why I'd definatley spell it Reece not Rhys. Also like Ryan as well but DH not sure on that and he definatley ruled out Nathan (think bananarama - so I was told its a song of theirs, I'm too young to know!) and Casey (boy) or Kacey (girl) i like but my mum said there was an old children's tv programme with casey jones the engine driver so that killed that one!

I'm also being fussy and it can't start with the letters B, C, J, or M.

Although if anyone has any other boy ideas feel free to suggest!

Hi all.. just logging in from work! Very stressy morning - I need to get on one particular website to do some urgent work and it keeps stopping IE and Firefox from working and it just closes on me! Ironically, MSE works fine! ;)

Claire, I'd originally picked Casey Rhys for a boy - has to be spelt Rhys for me as I want a name with a Y in it (as Sami rightly pointed out earlier! :p). Then we decided it didn't flow too well with the surname (Stephens) plus OH wasn't completely taken by Casey (it's the name one of my old colleagues called her son).

So it's now become Rhys Alary Stephens - we think! We've been settled on that for about the last six weeks so we think we're sticking to it :) Alary was just something random we saw on a name site - means "elf ruler" apparently. Plus "Al.." features in both our dad's names and OH's grandad who passed away whilst I way pregnant.

Right, got to get back to work.. catch up with you all later xx
