Faye - I don't think anyone has mentioned it but if this is your 12 week scan then they can't tell the sex yet... it's too early. I think the earliest they will book private sexing scans is 16 weeks but here you can ask and find out at the 20 week scan. Also some areas they will NOT tell you the sex at any stage and you have to go private if you want to find out...
I'm glad I had to take annual leave to be honest - the back and hip pain was getting so bad and work was getting so difficult to deal with it over it - like I was making up the pain! ARGH! Soon as I was resting and not driving (pretty much at all!) my back and hips improved so dramatically... if work had been willing to let me carry on from home instead of being difficult then I'd have been able to work up to now easily, but noooooooooooooo...

Have had haagen daz for lunch... maybe I should have something more substancial but just don't feel like it... bah humbug... :)

popping in to say, just in case any of you are thinking of stocking up on baby clothes from sainsburys, dont bother - OH's mum bought us a load of babygros from there and they rip around the poppers!! the tesco ones have been worn far more and havent done anything of the sort. its a shame cos the sainsburys ones are cute, nice colours :(

always - you couldn't tell I was pregnant at all when I was 12 weeks in this or last pregnancy - really don't worry!! The size of ur bump is no indicator of bub's size esp this early

in fact in my first pregnancy I don't think any 'strangers' would know I was pregnant until I was at least 6mths gone!

Tine - faye said she knew she couldn't find out at this scan :)

Em - We have loads of sainsburys stuff for Chris n bump only had occasional probs but no more than from anywhere else :D

  • Two of my closest friends ended up having their first babies early, one at 36 and one at 25, both bubs are now fine... Scary stuff, but the care they got was first rate, which is good to know. The one who had hers at 25 is not going to try for another though.

Haven't set a date for ML - (should I have already? :o ) Was thinking prob 39+5 too but will hopefully be working at home for a lot of August.

WM - I get no full pay at all!!!:mad:
Going to ask again when I provide MatB1 and letter but at present it's just SMP! So, I'm only getting that time off by saving hard between now and then. If I get full pay even for 3 months then I will be able to have the full year off!! :j

Ahh. May be thats the advantage of working for a small/tiny company. Leverage is " the more you pay me the quicker i come back"

ML you don't have to give an official date until ur something like 25wks (I can't remember the official time)

I saw this and thought of you, http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20090513/tuk-high-flier-red-arrows-get-first-fema-45dbed5.html

Ooh, thank you Sami - I am chuffed you thought of me in relation to that :D I couldn't do it myself (I get sick on the kiddies teacup ride) but always pleased to see sisters doin' it for themselves :D

Cub was v quiet yesterday but when Daddy came home and started poking her she woke up and obligingly did some gymnastics for him :p I think she is going to be a total daddy's girl.

Picking up a dream genii pillow thingy and some spanx maternity support wotsits - sadly am quite excited :o

I made it up and down the ten flights of stairs - up took me about ten minutes!

Personalabteilung gave me a little telling off because I should have spoken to them sooner, but I apologised, looked pathetic and strengthened my Auslanderin accent and they forgave me. But apparently there is a legal requirement that I start ML six weeks before EDD, which means in one month and four days I am off on ML!

I was hoping to work a little later than that so I'd have more time with the Bellyfrog once she's a real person, but if they insist on me going home and not being at work who am I to argue??

Congratulations Helen - I'm glad everything's ok. You four (five?) who are wrestling each other to be first to go this week must be sick :rotfl:

WM - see the more they pay me the longer I'll have off :rotfl:

Just got back from lunch to an email from Emma-Jane about bra testing!!
They asked for my measurements as I had said I was probably a 34E
Just checked their website and with my measurements, I'm actually a 36C.

    I've not been a C cup since I was about 14 :j
Must be the way they make 'em!

Anyway they asked for all my other sizes to see if I wanted to test knickers, tights and swimwear! Fingers crossed!!
    Thanks Sami!! :D
