:rotfl: me too Krystal... off to get washing in and then bounce on my ball :D

My DFW Diary - blah- mildly funny stuff about my journey
  • Well, I'm 40+6 today - a week overdue tomorrow, the midwife is coming at 11am to give me a sweep (or a 'brush' as my dear Mum keeps calling it :rotfl:)

Had a horrible day yesterday convinced that I hadn't felt baby moving enough (I know I had, but I just couldn't shake the 'what ifs') and I can't help but have this niggly thought that keeps creeping up on me that there's some horrible reason she still isn't engaging... I'm not bothered about being overdue discomfort-wise, but I so desperately want to see her and have her OUT HERE where I can see for myself that she's ok. We need windows in our bellies.

If someone medical could just reassure me 100% that little dink is fine and comfy in there, I'd happily go another month overdue - I've enjoyed pregnancy so much... but I'm coming to the end of what my nerves can handle.

Still no significant pains, on my home monitor BP was up to 145/90 yesterday (it's usually 125/75) but has gone back down again today... immense cankles, but no puffiness anywhere else.... I'll mention it to the midwife tomorrow though just incase.

This is a bit of a rant/release, sorry about that...

Labour vibes to Claire, Tine and Krystal - I know there's at least one more lady that I'm forgetting... so labour vibes to you too!

If anyone is interested I'll post details about my sweep tomorrow seeing as I haven't got a clue what to expect - it might be beneficial to someone else.

    xxxxxx

I'll be interested to hear how it goes sugar... My midwife offered to do one next tuesday if I'm still around... Might decline though... Don't wanna get that intimate with a woman who can't even get my name right!

Got a really wierd shooty pain right up my foo at the minute!! Think the baby is trying to scrape it's way out... It's not pleasant...

Neither is the whiff from the kitchen... Hubby just did the cat tray...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

OK, hair done, dishes washed, kitchen vaguely cleaned, dry cleaning collected, paper (um) glanced at, laundry washed and dried and awaiting folding in the bedroom.

Cankles horrific. I'm so upset that I have cankles. I'm going to moisturise my belly, then rub my cankles with Lush's Fair Trade Foot Lotion, put on socks and go to bed in a cankly rage.

Good night ladies - I hope all of you who are looking for labour vibes go spontaneously into labour overnight and your babies are racing each other by the morning.

Crikey, I feel rough.. :( Headache, queasy and can't breathe properly - combination of blocked nose and my bra band suddenly feeling very tight. Have undone it but still doesn't feel like any less pressure on my chest

Doesn't help that Bob hasn't stopped all night.. constantly shoving something, his head or his bum, out the side of my bump! :(

Think I'm going to get a drink to sip slowly and go to bed.. Sorry to whinge so much!

    Night night all xx

jha - I sincerely hope the receptionist you spoke to gets severely reprimanded when u speak to the manger!! green is not a 'good' colour and ur baby could be at risk of something if its not treated - if you see her I think you would be excused from slapping her silly cow!!

Double check with your GP as I think some girls on here have had conflicting advice about pessary usage - I'm sure it was a no-go.
I would book in as an emergency - you are pregnant and have weird discharge - it needs sorting out.
I can't work out why some GPs/Pharmacists won't give the pessary because it says on the leaflet that it is totally fine through out preg - I can't see a company saying it is safe if its not coz they would be in BIG trouble surely??

Im suffering terrible heartburn at the moment and i remember last time i was able to get a huge bottle of gaviscon from the docs on prescription but as i obviously can't carry it around with me do you think they prescribe the tablet versions??
    Anyone had these prescribed?
I haven't heard of anyone getting tabs but I just bought a small bottle of cheap stuff (or u could get gaviscon small bottle/ask GP to prescribe a small bottle?) and then when I'd used it rinse it out and re filled with gaviscon

    What is GBS?
If you want to get tested (as it is common and NHS don't provide the swab test unless u've already had it) you can get a test kit for free, you pay £32 if you decide to actually send off samples, info here:GBSS - Group B Strep Support
I got my kit from here:GBS Testing Kit Free at MumStuff

that is the question. i dont think he will be able to keep it a secret. tbh he has said that he only wants to find out cos he can and he doesnt want to keep calling the baby 'baby' cos wgen he/she is born we will keep doing it rather that use their name. so i have suggested we use a nickname instead, going to work on that one tonight!
My OH is convinced its a girl but I know its a boy :p I slipped up once (I said he's kicking) but think I covered my tracks coz he was still referring to bump as a 'she' a couple of days later

What nicknames did everyone get called when they were little? My mum always called me "flower" or "flowerpot".. still does, actually! :o If I was naughty, I was a "little toad" :(
I was Samy-anther or Tinkerbella arabella  or my dad kindly calls be number 2 (sister is obviously number 1 or Julie woo-lee)
OH was Moo (real name Matthew) and BIL was Nonnie (real name James)did I mention that my MIL is completely bonkers?
I call Chris, Christoph most of the time but I have no idea why I often call him Dolly-boo?? he also gets Christo-bubble from all sides of the family and kissy-fer
Bump will have many I'm sure seeing as Mum n sis hate the name Edgar  I will prob go for Teddy or gar-gar

    <<< A+!

I call Aimee pickle... No idea why... It used to be pixie because she has a cute little turned up nose... My nickname was Joby when I was younger, my grandad used to call me Lizzie, no idea why... He also used to call my little brothe eggbert... Or crippen!
