Thanks Glamazon and Mrs Tine - unfortunatley i do not have a walk in centre near me and as i explained why i needed to see the doc and they have decided it is not an emergency i have no choice but to wait at least untill tomorrow when i will just have to say i need antibiotics urgently - the fact that i am pregnant was of no concequence to them.
I have had problems with them before but there is a very good doc at my surgery and i thaught they would stop messing patients around when pregnant - i was wrong.0 -
Call NHS direct in that case and explain the situation to them - if they say you need to see a GP then the receptionist can take a flying jump
Alternatively ask to speak to the surgery manager (basically if you called where Glam works you'd end up speaking to her) - I never even knew surgery managers existed until this thread and Glam

Thanks Mrs Tine - i will try to get through to the surgery manager as when i spoke to the midwife she did say go to see your gp - i will just tell the surgery manager that and that i am being refused an appointment.0

I was in Sainsburys today and noticed that they have lots of baby toiletries for £1. Included were Johnsons Baby Lotion, Baby Oil, Wipes and also Sainsburys Newborn Nappies 24 packs. Not sure if anything else was included but thought this might be useful to someone on here.
Such a lovely sunny day here. Just been sat out in the garden soaking up some rays and putting my feet up after a morning at work.
JHA- I have always found NHS Direct to be very helpful so might be worth talking to them.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Its natural to worry when your pregnant - i always ask for a nurse appointment at my docs normally you can get one the same day (cant see doc for ages) If they cant help they make you go back to the waiting room and then they fit you in with a doctor. Maybe worth a try at your surgery.
I have just caught up on loads of posts!! i am still in hospital so gave me something to do all afternoon -its now five weeks since they admitted me!!

Thanks for sharing pickle
I still think they look really freaky on the 3D scans - glad we didn't have one
I think I watch too much discovery because all they remind me off is mummies from Egypt and it really really freaks me out

Im suffering terrible heartburn at the moment and i remember last time i was able to get a huge bottle of gaviscon from the docs on prescription but as i obviously can't carry it around with me do you think they prescribe the tablet versions??
Anyone had these prescribed?0 -
You can ask them benson... Mine prescribed me the generic version of gaviscon originally which was vile... So with the next request I spelt it out what I wanted... I did ask for the peppermint gaviscon but the dr's receptionist rang me to say it wasn't available on script but I could have the aniseed one...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls...
