They definately do things very different in Germany. My German friend has a scan on every visit.

I'm not sure what the hospital is like as yet as only been for a scan but will be able to get a tour at some point. Looks good from what I have seen though.

    Are you German Sugar?

I get a scan on every visit too - I love it!

I'm not German, but I've been living here for a year and have another year of my work contract to go. We'll see if I decide to stay once it's up. I'm still undecided.

    hi all just a quickie

Tried to catch up yesterday but took ages and i fell asleep and another billion pages today!! Congrats to Ickle, can anyone tell me if ive missed anything else??

Tia that sounds like a call to the mw is def in order.

My mam went home yesterday, we painted lounge and dining room and decorated nursery-paper and paint. sorted all rooms, created mounds of rubbish and i ached every day but all worth it.

Consultant today was a world away from last time, 5 mins tops, baby head down, hb strong and measuring right - said if i dont deliver by my due date then theyl see me 2 days after.

well that turned into an essay, feel sleepy so not sure how long il be on tonight - plus footies is on!!

    Hi all..

Nothing much to report from me today. I think Bob has spun round - still head down but now all the pokey out bits are on my right instead of my left. I'm assuming he did it in the night cos I'd have thought I'd have felt it, wouldn't I? (considering I seem to feel every move he makes at the minute!)

I've got to nip round to my Nan's in a min. I did a very silly thing and threw out half of my thyroid medication by accident (forgot it was in the box and threw the boxes out), and Nan takes the same as I do so I'm off to pinch some of hers until I get my repeat prescription - I think she owes me considering I probably inherited the condition from her! ;)

Ahh.. just done a really big satisfying sneeze :D Only problem is, everytime I do it makes Bob hiccup! :o

Could really do with more hours in the day where work is concerned.. Feels like I'm not getting anything done lately and I've got a three hour Bullying and Harrassment Awareness training session tomorrow morning which doesn't help! Best remember to eat breakfast too - my morning sickness came back today too.. combination of being stressy and hungry, I think :(

Right, enough waffle.. Going to Nan's, then back here for pizza and curly fries - best have fruit for pudding!

Hope everyone else is okay xx

Called the hospital and spoke to a mw. Not too worried as it was brown, small amount and no pain or discomfort (beyond what I usually get). To put a pad on and call back if it happens again/turns to red blood/get pain etc. She asked if I wanted to come up - not really... To try and see my own mw tomrrow (like that will happen!).

Actually I'm not sure how they would cope if they did routinely test and an outbreak occured at our local school. Seeing as all the husbands got back from a 6 month tour last November so we are currently experiencing a baby boom with pregnant ladies around here at the moment. They never have any appointments available as it is so that would really test the capabilities of the Army. :rotfl:

 Why would this be a problem? Its a simple matter of drawing some blood and sending it to the lab to be tested. Either you have the anti-bodies or you don't. If you do, there is no risk. If you don't, the D of H will release some antibody vaccine which will protect you for a few weeks during the period of contagion. The D of H apparently won't release the antibodies without a blood test being done.

Speaking as one who was exposed to chicken pox earlier in this pregnancy, in tri 1, and this was what I was told by the obstetrician, and in fact what happened to me.

    Hey ladies,,,
an update on the chicken pox dilemma today,,,doc said it is very unlikely i have not had it due to working with kids and my own daughter having it,,but myself or my family say i have never had it,,anyway he sent me for blood test said they can see if there are pox antibodies in it,,if so i have had it(he said ppl get it with no rash jus flu like symptoms)
if there is none then my dr will contact me and i will have to have a course of injections over 10 days.
so fingers crossed,,,still have to work at school tho and prob lots more kids will go down with it this week.
    Hope everyone is good x
