Germany's fabulous for scans. I've had one a month, and the next one is the 15th May, at which point I'll be 29 weeks and will be scheduled for another at 32 weeks and then one every two weeks till the end.

My hospital has twin rooms where Daddy can spend the night with Mummy and Newborn for an extra €50 or so, or they take the beastie to the nursery and let Mummy sleep off the birth. All the other rooms are single rooms. I'm quietly looking forward to it, and not only because it means I will no longer have trouble getting myself and my belly out of the bathroom because there's not enough space for the both of us and the door in there.

They definately do things very different in Germany. My German friend has a scan on every visit.

I'm not sure what the hospital is like as yet as only been for a scan but will be able to get a tour at some point. Looks good from what I have seen though.

    Are you German Sugar?

    Ok TMI warning...

When I went to the loo earlier (about 45 mins, I was making dinner) I wiped and there was 'stuff' on the paper. Like chewed up grass, borwny red in colour (reminded me of my first period). Maybe the size of a 10p. None when I went just there. No other symptoms. Is it worth phoning the hospital? All I can think of is maybe it's an infection.

Just after a few opinions please ladies :)

The name we've chosen for piglet is Caitlin, but I'm not sure which is the best spelling: Caitlin or Caitlyn or even Katelyn.

    What do you think?

Sorry to butt in, my niece is a Caitlin. :D She has just turned 17, wasn't a popular name back then!

I think Caitlyn sounds softer that Caitlin (lin sounds harsher than lyn) and Katelyn (Kate sounds harsher than Cate)

If you sorta get what I mean..... :o

I do however know a Caitlin and my own Mother is a Kate :D

I'll be 24 weeks on Friday. Can't really be bothered going up though (can you tell I'm worried?) lol! Will give them a wee call anyway. It was more strange than worrying, and I honestly can't say that I feel like I should be worried.

tiamai - Sorry not much help never experienced that one. Was it like a blood clot? Does your midwife have an out of hours number you can contact her on? Probably worth doing so for piece of mind.

I have just had a chilli con carne for tea and am regretting it big time. I have what feels like indigestion, heartburn and trapped wind all at the same time :o

I know some people drink milk for heartburn but I can't stand drinking the stuff and I have nothing else in. I would usually get in the recovery position with my leg as close to my chest as possible to relieve the wind but thats impossible with my ever increasing bump.

I'd give them a ring Tia just to put your mind at rest... But it could be the mucus plug... It renews itself throughout pregnancy...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
