I need a rant - moved 4 weeks ago to totally new area so obviously needed to register at new gp's .... <snip> ...Am 10 weeks tomorrow too so am going to be at least 12 weeks before I get to see a midwife

This'll make you feel better - I'm 14 weeks and I only get to see my midwife for the booking appt tomorrow!!!

(((Hugs))) I understand your frustration ;) Try throwing being an "old" mum into the mix as well as being a "first timer" ;)

ooh, tigster, that does make me feel better, thank you! Oh god, never thought about the old thing too - I am 35 so that probably makes me old in maternity world too doesn't it?! Can add that to my paranoias!

Just after a few opinions please ladies :)

The name we've chosen for piglet is Caitlin, but I'm not sure which is the best spelling: Caitlin or Caitlyn or even Katelyn.

    What do you think?

Hearing all your woes with getting booking in appointments makes me think I don't have it so bad after all.

We have a booking in appointment with the midwife when we get BFP (no need for referral from GP), then we get referred for early bird scan at 7-8 weeks, then 12 week scan, 20 week scan, 32 week scan then scans every 2 weeks after that until delivery.

In between we get regular midwife and obstetrician appointments. The ob is really nice she doesn't make us drink gallons of water before a scan either. She says it is a horrid and uneccessary thing to get a pregnant woman to do. Infact we give a urine sample immediately before every scan which somewhat proves her point.

Sorry, don't mean to make anyone feel any worse thought you may find that interesting to hear. :o

Ours will be spelt Caitlyn :)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Nope, you're not allowed the "old" paranoia, I'm reserving that for myself - I'll be 40 :rotfl:
