My local Indian restaurant does Lycheeschorle, Mangoschorle and Kirschschorle. I love it!

Regular apple juice gives me heartburn, so I avoid it. The schorle though is wonderful, although it does add to my embarrassing pregnant wind problem with all the bubbles.

I don't think the doctors will routinely test every pregnant woman just because they have come into contact with chicken pox. It is only necessary if you fall into the risk category being that you haven't had it before or you have had it but you are in the first trimester when it can be more serious.
the risk of damage to you and baby increase the further on in pregnancy you are.
I wouldn't want anyone on here to read what you have written and not seek a qualified medical opinion because they beleive there to be no risk to them or baby

risks include the mother getting pneumonia, baby getting any of
    • scarring of the skin,
    • eye defects, such as cataracts, which causes the lens in the eye to cloud over,
    • shortened limbs, and
    • brain damage.
    not something worth ignoring IMHO

    NHS say
See your GP urgently if you are pregnant and think you may have chicken pox. The same advice applies if you think you have chicken pox within seven days of giving birth. This is so that any necessary precautions can be made to prevent you or your baby developing any further complications.

edit - GPs DO routinely test pregnant women who have come into contact with chicken pox 2 of my real life friends who work at the same school had the tests after 12 weeks gone

Sami - I am not expecting anybody to take what I say as advice. I am merely saying what I was told when I went along to my medical centre with a rash that was suspected as being chicken pox. They were in no way concerned because I had previoulsy had CP as a child and was in the second trimester so therefore no testing was carried out.

Lil miss has done the right thing getting checked by her doctor to get their professional advice and fingers crossed she is ok :T

spinks I know you don't mean for anyone to read it as that but they may do, we have to be very careful on here.

    Hi Everybody

Hope everyone is well, im feeling alot more awake now :T

DS is officially moving into his own room tonight and about time too. The only thing left to do is put the curtain rail up and then the curtains. I have been nagging DH to finish the room for ages. Its all done in thomas the tank engine theme.

DS is now 16 months  and still rooming in with us. Its taken over 6 months to get the room finished and loads of nagging.

Im not sure where this LO is going to go. I do like my babies to stay in our room for the 1st 12 months but after this she may be sharing the thomas tank room :rotfl:

    On a TMI note**

Im getting loads of watery EWCM, it has me running to the loo to check at least every hour thats it not something worse :o Im permanently damp.

DH is doing my fav dinner tonight, Stuffed pork fillet with fried cabbage, turnip, creamed & roasted potatoes with loads of bisto best, yum, I cant wait!!
