The loan phone is rubbish tbh and not worth the candle. What I did when my vodafone broke under its warranty period was to buy a fairly cheap Pay as you Go mobile to keep as a spare for further contingencies. This also means if you ever need it repairing again, you can just send the broken one off direct without having to go via the shop.

Back to your current problem, is there a vodafone shop anywhere near where your OH works? Could he drop the broken one in for you, and maybe pick you up a PAYG one? They might even agree then to ship yours back to you direct when it is repaired, as you won't have a loan phone to give back, and its as easy to ship to one address as to another (the repairs aren't done in store)

He works about 2 hours from home... and doesn't get home till quite late :( now he COULD take it to work but if he ended up in meetigns like normal then no he doesn't have time to go faffing round in stores swapping phones etc. I have spare phones (sad that I am) but none of them have 8gb of music on them or a 5 megapixel camera which our plan was to take with us to hospital instead of a huge DSLR which I really don't want damaged...
    I'm just totally not impressed...

speaking as a ex mobile phone salesperson (not a normal one, i had morals lol :D) they wont allow a insurance claim unless the phones been looked at, however, if mrs tine was to lose the phone on the way to the vodafone shop, maybe leaving it on the bus, they would replace it then without going instore... ;):lipsrseal:whistle:

LOL you know I should have lied in the first place and said I lost it instead shouldn't I? That'll teach me being honest!
Now what do you think the chances are of them smelling a wee rat if I lost it before I made it to the shop? :)
I even offered that they could get a courier to pick it up when delivering me a replacement but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

ETA - i wouldn't lie to them btw :) just in case anyone thought I was planning too...

Anyway - just been reading my terms and conditions and NO-WHERE does it say in there that I have to move my bottom to the nearest Vodafone shop to get a replacement... So... let's try them again shall we :)

I feel really sick :( just came over me all of a sudden right before I had to fetch Aimee from school... Supposed to be swimming tonight but I just can't face it... Have let her friend come and play on her new swing set as a compromise...

I don't think the doctors will routinely test every pregnant woman just because they have come into contact with chicken pox. It is only necessary if you fall into the risk category being that you haven't had it before or you have had it but you are in the first trimester when it can be more serious.
  • Apfelschorle is just apple juice and sparkling water - v refreshing. You can have a Schorle of any juice though... and wine i think too... I usually have soda as the mixer in the UK as then you're paying for a just a dash of it rather than a bottle
