Tigs - I'm not even old - only 24! :D Think I get it from my parents...they always went to bed by 10pm (and up around 6!) when I was growing up.

Haven't felt nauseous in a few days...not that I want to, I just hope it's not a bad sign :(. But I know it's normal for it to come and go. Less than 2 weeks now 'til my first scan now! Can't wait to see babe.

Not been on much this weekend and won't be today either lol - I'm slaving away (HA!) down on the allotments at the moment :) OK supervising my DH really but still...
I'm so totally ready for this baby to come out now - my hands and arms have been really bad last couple of weeks and getting worse and worse - inflamed tendons - and I can't take anything for it! Thankfully I am seeing the GP tomorrow although not sure what he can do... I'm getting to the point where I am not sure if when Roo arrives I'll be able to actually hold her :( (My wrists get really bad - it's getting close to the point where I can't hold on to a glass of water and i'd be petrified of dropping Roo because I have no strength in my arms which is what happens when the inflamation gets really bad...)

I didn't call you old (though I am - I'm turning 40 this year - think they call me a "geriatric" mother!) ...... but I've always been a 10pm bed person, my family was always that way and I think you just get into the habit.

Thanks for reminding me about the nausea - or rather lack of. I've been lucky, no morning sickness, but I used to get a "sicky" feeling when the OH woke me coming to bed in the middle of my night (he's a night owl). Just realised I haven't had that for a few days :) so I guess I'm well and truly moving into 2nd trimester.

Good luck with the scan, remind us all on here just before you go so that we can badger you for the photo! Hope your bubs is more active than mine, she just rolled over and slept with her back to camera.

Oh, it's a bank holiday in the UK. That would explain it ... I've been calling my parents' local city council for an hour and there's no answer.

The Germans have May Day on the 1st May, which means that next year and the year after we're being done out of the day off :(

i have a question for say larger ladies size 16+

how early did you feel kicks??
think i should be feeling them by now but am wondering cos i have an extra layer of blubber if that kind of masks the kicks or would i feel them?

trying not to stress myself out by this as i know every pregnancy is different....
(i panic way too much i know)

    i am 20 weeks tomorrow....

Congratulations to Icklebeans and her hubby, and of course the twins! Lovely names :D

Jillie, don't panic about not feeling kicks yet: I'm due the same time as you (and am a size 18) and have not felt anything at all yet. I was worrying about this on this thread a couple of weeks ago :o I have been told that it can be later for some people, and that reassured me :) Glad I've got my scan tomorrow though :D
