    Stoptober Survivor
jillie I'm a 16 this time round and I was about 19 weeks before I felt a definate kick, felt a few 'things' before that, but could have been anything, but I dont think it has anything to do with my size. I think this bubs was lying very far back a the start - even my MW found it hard to find the heart beat as it was so far back.

Aww HUGE congrats to Ickle and her hubby!!!!

I've been up since 6.45am which is NOT like me at all.
I've had a few painful twinges and cramps and been to the loo 3 times (3 times !!!!!!, where does it hide?!) for an erm, you know what.

We're meant to be going out to do a little shopping today, but now I'm nervous incase anything happens!

Ah sod it, what will be will be and we won't be going too far!

I was wondering about waters breaking earlier actually.. Do they just go with no warning, or do you get pains before them, or even just a feeling that something's going on?
I had a sore lower back at tea time on the friday which I thought was just general pregnancy ache and then next morning I woke at 6am to go for a wee and they went trickle trickle trickle no pain no warning but I had randomly spaced contractions starting about 10 mins later

Tia - Don't let him milk it :D 2 of my friend's have had the snip and they both said after about an hour it was fine and could carry on pretty much as normal (well not the running around with the kids but you know what I mean!)

Tara - I need to know if ur gonna report them too!!
Not as juicy as our family friends who are rather posh their neighbours happened to suddenly move all the expensive paintings out of the house and take the dog to a friends the day before they went out and left a lit candle near the curtains  can't beleive they got away with it!! I mean hello how many dogs do you know that like to visit family alone

thanks guys. i was sure i had felt a kick last week, but havent really felt anything since. have my scan 12may
i am worrying partly due to the fact that my friend lost her baby just after 20 weeks (cord had wrapped round its little neck) and i am really worried it will happen to me (know its irrational) i am upset now at the thought of it!

Oohh tia, was he OK this morning ?
You will have to be his nurse for the rest of the day now !!!

He seemed fine, bit grumpy that I lay in my bed instead of getting up to see him off.

His plan is to sit on the sofa and play xbox all day, Today I wont mind....

Jillie, about 16 weeks (I'm a 16) but this is baby 3. Was feeling things earlier but at 16 weeks I was sure it was baby. Everyone is different and if it is your first baby you may not feel anything till 22 weeks. Lie back on the sofa with a cold drink and touch your bump, usually you feel more movement lower down to start with. It wasn't till 20 weeks that she started to become more active, before that it was only at night time. And where your placenta is sitting can have an effect too.

i have a question for say larger ladies size 16+

how early did you feel kicks??
think i should be feeling them by now but am wondering cos i have an extra layer of blubber if that kind of masks the kicks or would i feel them?

trying not to stress myself out by this as i know every pregnancy is different....
(i panic way too much i know)

    i am 20 weeks tomorrow....
Its normal for a first timer to not feel it yet at ur stage :)
Your weight won't affect it now as you feel it inside the outside feeling/seeing won't happen for a while at may be a bit later if there is some padding xx

    Morning all..

I was aiming for a lie-in this morning but I woke up at half five then half seven and finally half nine.. just couldn't stay properly asleep! Normally a bank holiday weekend lie-in for me is gone 1pm! :( OH having the same problem but he's stayed in bed for now. Think he'll be up soon.

We're going to our house later on to clear the kitchen - got three massive boxes to fill and add to the lounge. Good job we've got a big lounge (only reception room) as it's now got the bath/bath panel/bath screen, plus all the new kitchen in boxes, the applicances, several huge storage boxes already and a 2 and 3 seater sofa in there!

Also going to B&Q to get a new toolbox for OH - all his tools are currently under the kitchen worktop.. Can't wait til we get the shed

It's cloudy and breezy here so not going to be spending much time outside today :(

Hope everyone else has a good day xx

    Morning all

    Congrats Ickle :j:j:j:j
    ((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) Mrs Tine

Well i have had a lovely lie in till 10am, then spent the last hour catching up on this thread.

DH has gone back to bed, methinks he is getting jealous of all the sleep im getting :rotfl:

We have planned to take the kids out for the day, but havent decided where:confused:

DD1 has hayfever which rules out the park and the weather isn't great anyway.

The only other things I can think of is, bowling or ice skating. Obviously i will oly be a spectator or take DS to the baby area.
