Oh god i hope you didn't think i was implying .... no i really don't see my hubby accepting anything unless it comes out of the box with a receipt. grrrrrrrrrr
:rotfl:no it's OK. I was just trying to show that you can buy really good quality stuff even second hand.
Seriously, it might be worth a wander around a car boot just to show him the kind of things u can get for a fraction of the new price. This is what I did
Fortunately, OH is just as bad as me if not worse!!!A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Well we had a fab car boot sale this morning- made £60 odd and spent a morning outside in the sunshine. Still have a fair amount to Freecycle/ charity shop/ tip to make more space but it was a good start.
Also got given a box of lovely maternity clothes and baby clothes from my step sister. Her youngest is only two months but was 9lb when born so much of the new baby stuff is like new.
Thrilled with the maternity bits too. What with the bits I've already picked up and these there's not too much more I'll need that I can think of. All very exciting!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

Aless - have you been told how long you got to wait for first scan (on NHS) and booking appointment?
I've just gotten my booking appt, which is early June - I'll be 11+4 by then, so I dread to think when my 1st scan will be! Not v happy, but what can you do. I saw the GP for the referral last week (when I was 6.5wks), so maybe that's why it's so late?top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

ah okay, Glam, I get it now. Sorry, I wasn't trying to imply that you were being silly! I would've bought all that stuff, too, for those prices! Sounds like I'm going to have to haunt the local car boot sales in the autumn to get some real steals.
Didn't know about the car seat 2hr thing, thanks. Couldn't see where you would need to leave baby in car seat for more than 2hrs, really! If they're at home, they'll be in bouncing chair or Moses basket, I would think.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
