  • The control of funds should be removed from private banking institutions and placed under the control of a new UK Public Bank, which gives full visibility of its operations to all its members. This would help put an end to system inherent corruption. Private Companies should be held fully accountable for their actions

    Free prescriptions for all
Cap the price of any life saving/extending drugs (eg 1% of minimum wage)
Free broadband in all homes (+ban throttling)
    Scrap the TV license
Limit energy companies to max of 5 tarifs
Smart energy meters should not cut off supply without a court ruling
    Scrap tuition fees
  • No extra help for multipule birth mothers, in fact they are get lower benefits as it is looked at just as a pregnancy, meaning in the early stages benefits are divided by the number of babies being born.
  • If credit is given then it must be at a fair rate and repayable over a reasonable period for interest and other charges to be legal. AER should include all charges, so consumers can compare credit providers. Finally, bring back the crime of Usury to deal with unscrupulous moneylenders.

Minimum wage should be brought up to a level where people can live without government help.
People without children could get on property ladder and would put money back into the economy.
Couples (shared tax) with children could choose one parent to stay home to nurture & care for children.

    Mortgage Arrangement Fees

These are often extortionate - how can they be justified? This should be challenged and controlled in the same way as bank charges.

Remember the single and the childless by choice.

It seems that when it comes to making things easier for folk, those in power forget the above and concentrate on those who are married with kids. As great as that is, everyone is contributing so help should be given to all.

    Credit Reference Agencies

You should not have to pay to see what information is held about you. These agencies should be obliged to tell you for free what they are publishing about you and give you the opportunity to challenge it and refer it to an independent arbiter if you think it is unfair.

PS- I really back the mention of Asthma being added to the free prescriptions list - even if it's just as far as the inhalers and steroid pills for asthma itself. I've had to put my own health at risk in the past because I can't afford to buy my inhalers at £7 or so a time on top of every other expense.
