  • Women are unfairly discriminated against because they all have menstrual cycle - no choice in the matter whatsoever. Birth control is already available on the NHS which is an entirely voluntary thing. So sanitary protection should be similarly available.

I bet if men had periods there would be new legislation would be passed before you can say "tampon" ;)
Always thought that ..... but its too trivial for the MP's to get into....they are like a masonic lodge.

VAT is a tax on businesses and is directly proportional to profit. However, unlike personal income tax, there is NO tax free allowance. For sole traders and small businesses, the first £500 of VAT each quarter should be waived.

For hard working people earning a salary, and for sole traders and small business owners, the government should accept that the overall burden of tax (with both direct and indirect taxes and all the various tax duties taken into account), should be about a third of gross income.

Abolish CGT on second properties for married couples so they are not longer discriminated against.

    Either:

Stop including co-habiting partners' income and savings when calculating benefits (there's a difference between marriage and simply living together - why encourage couples to break-up and live separately?!)

    Or:

Allow those expected to use their income and savings to support their partner to use their partners' unused tax allowance.

Update allowable savings for claiming benefits to take inflation into account.

Increase savings allowances for those who do not own homes. As it stands, savings converted to equity in a property is ignored, but you are expected to spend money you've saved for a deposit before you can claim JSA.

Help single parents in debt because of previous partners, to help get children out of poverty. The CSA should take into account debts left for the parent with care to pay by the non-resident parent. Financial responsibility must come with contact. No rights without responsibilities.

People working for the minimum wage should also receive help with their rent/housing, council tax, etc., in order to make them better off than those simply claiming benefits and sitting back doing nothing. Cost should be covered by more people taking work where possible.
