Mobile phone agreeements should be regulated by the CCA. These companies are quick to register a default against your credit file and do not always issue a default notice.0

Since the government introduced university tuition fees and abolished grants many of us have spent years paying off debt instead of saving for a deposit on a house. Now we're unable to buy despite good incomes. More help with this surely would help stimulate the housing market!0

We should be able to vote for potential pay-rises for Members of Parliament! If they have performed well, then they get a pay rise that WE determine.
If there was an internet voting system in place right now, we could have already voted on whether or not we wanted a General Election, and Gordon Brown could be packing his bags.0 -
All utility bills should clearly show annual consumption in units used. This would enable accurate comparison between providers. This would be very easy and free to implement.0

When considering buying a house always insist on the gross floor area and calculate a price per square metre. You cannot compare property just by the number of bedrooms it has!0

Financial institutions cream off all the brightest graduates, who have mostly been educated at the taxpayers expense. The future lies in their hands and they should be employed more usefully in research and development.
Finance and marketing companies should pay government a bounty for each graduate recruited - somewhere between £250k and £1m.
These institutions are global - governments are national. The institutions will always win unless we move the goalposts, the pitch and the football !0 -
Ryanair are much worse overall - priced up flights for 4 people recently - £0.02 flights would only cost £330 all in!!!
£4 per person per leg credit card charge when they pay the credit card company probably 1% or less - so about 50p on a 50 quid ticket so an 800% mark up - is there the same mark up on all their other so called 'taxes and charges'?
Here here how can they charge per leg when its only one transaction ?:T :A :T :A:T :A :T :A :T :A0 -
1) Exempt the first return flight of the year from Take off, air duty (in/outbound) - Gives hard working people a fair chance to visit their family and promote business
2) Make train fares inversely proportional to the wages paid to the train companies higher level managers, so that they know what it feels like to be shafted multiple times a day.
3) Repeat point 2 with council taxes.0 -
Introduce legislation to require water companies to refund all "surface water drainage charges" (SWDC), where the householder has a soakaway on their property to the date when the soakaway was installed or the householder moved into the property whichever is the latter.
Currently, according to OFWAT's own rules, water companies only have to refund the current year's charges instead of all of the historical charges which should never have been charged in the first place!
Introduce legislation to require water companies to identify all properties that have a soakaway and automatically refund the householders of the SWDC.
Currently, householders have to first find out if their property has a soakaway and sometimes even provide evidence of this before they can apply for a refund of the SWDC.

Childcare payments should be made directly to the child minder - this would help stop the fraud that is being committed on a daily basis.
