Electricity prices should be a flat rate per unit. Not dearer at first and cheaper later or the other way round as MP suggested. How easy to compare tarriffs if one company is x per unit and the other is yHere to help and be helped!0

Electricity units although not flat rate at least they seem to make sense. Why do gas suppliers take the unit then start multiplying dividing and altering all ways so that you can not work out how the cost is derived! Same as electricity please, price per unit and meter should be based on that unit! Also flat rate please! Here to help and be helped!0

Supermarkets label goods in cost per gram etc. However they then stick a bogof deal on it and dont give the new cost per gram. Thats ok if its a buy one get one free cos the maths is easy but not when they start doing deals like get 2 for £3 etc, makes it hard to compare to other brands or the basic versions which might still be cheaper! Here to help and be helped!0

(Married?) Couples to combine their tax allowance.
A couple with 1 earning £50,000 & 1 earning £10,000 pay a huge amount more in income tax than 2 each earning £30,0000 -
Credit should not be given to those who cannot afford to repay it.0

Once a stamp duty threshold is reached, why should we have to pay the higher duty on the whole amount, creating a false barrier in the already depressed housing market? A fairer system would mean only paying the higher tax on the higher band.0

All Civil Servants pensions should be capped at whatever the National Average earnings are and no pay-offs for failing to do their jobs properly.0

MP's Expenses
Stop all MP's expenses and increases the basic salary to £80,000. this will do away with the Fees Office, stop unjustified claims, reduce costs and convince taxpayers that there will not be a repeat of the present fiasco.0 -
"Earn or Learn" Schemes - Provide meaningful work experience or training for long-term unemployed, incentivised by an additional wage to equivalent of minimum wage for hours worked.
Council housing for life not a council house for life - provide a requirement to provide suitable council housing for life, but not a guarantee that it will be the same house (to ensure that there are not single people living in 2/3 bedroom houses once kids grow up/move out).
Sliding Scale of Prescriptions for low income - free or reduced prescriptions where people are in work but not earning a "living wage".

I am 25, was on a decent salary for my age, was made redundant now working part time on less than half that and re-training, ok I'm not a home owner because I have never been able to afford to buy, but I rent and pay CT, student loan, income tax, bills etc, but don't and wouldn't expect any tax credits because I am able to afford to live as I do.
I'll accept you view, but for people in my position, I am working for mimimum wage, and people in the same job who are 25 and over can apply for and get financial assistance.
People my age group don't get squat for the same job! Is that fair?I'm not a complete idiot!........... Pieces of me are missing :rotfl:0
