I've got an address to write to Vodafone. I'll see what they have to say.

Just out of interest, who is your mobile provider? I only ask because you have quite a few defaults.

I actually had a mobile contract approved with Virgin Mobile *BEFORE* I was discharged from bankruptcy - they credit checked Equifax, saw the BR order and outstanding defaults, and sent me the phone no questions asked! I later got out of the contract early, pentalty free, because they altered the terms and conditions of the account "to my detrement" :D:D

BT credit checked me and gave me a landline before I was discharged, too, but I had to pay a whopping !!£25!! deposit which was refunded on the first bill

My other half got a Samsung Omnia HD and a Nokia N97 both from orange, one is mine and I pay the direct debit, and if we get bored of the handset we just swap for a while. A nifty idea I think which helps stave off the itch to upgrade early :o

.... No credit limit increase from Vanquis. No statement in October atall, actually, because I changed the statement date. Bless them. Guess I'll have to wait until November for *fingers crossed* a limit bump!

I only want it so that I can get a second cardholder. Thing is I have all of the house expenses going in and out of my second barclays account - my other half doesn't want a joint account with me (understandable, I have rubbish credit), so if he wants to buy food I have to lend him my "House account" debit card. Plan is to get him as a second cardholder on the vanquis account and move the DD to the house account from my personal account.

That way we get to keep the house expenses in one pot, and can have a card each to access the funds in that pot, without having to be financially associated with each other on our credit files ;)

I've gone through a notice of dissasociation before, and I'm not doing it again! It's an awful processs :(

If I had a high value phone like an iPhone I would always take out some form of insurance. Are you sure the loss is not covered by your home contents insurance?
