just logged on again and went into my preferences,it is in there and ticked not to show.no overdraft as yet.
when o/h got her account her file was appaling, overdraft came quick.i may run money through until abbey hits six months and go from there,as to where salary goes.

How long did OH run account before pre-approvals?

Did she get a CC from them?

yeah good advice i think

still got 22 searches,which contridicts what they told n i d about 15 max.
shed load about to drop off.also only 5 in the last six months i think.they are halifax loan,abbey,abbey,honda finance and halifax

2nd month large pre approved loan.month three large overdraft.
always declined credit card,before and after other credit.
she has aqua .that came through post pre app a week after openning bank account.

she did open a while back,nearly two years.however the large o/d increases and renewal of facility all recent too.

i opened my second abbey account a few days before the halifax.go for it.
your credit file is better than my 23 accounts,lol.

Did they offer you facilities aswell?

no.
debit card and cheque book,better than abbeys 100 o/d and electron.

oh and the cgc card later,the one they dont do anymore lol.

with my online halifax banking they were offering me lots a few months back.
the loan seems to have been gaurateed.i applied and got declined but it emerged when they offered it was gauranteed.guess they based offers on my old search with less accounts.

im going to close some accounts and pay some bits off.by then i should have excellent 6 month b/score at abbey,less searches and an improving halifax account.

having a bos credit card with halifax online banking i know it wont take long for the offers to re emerge,especialy when salary goes through.

Some weeks ago, I sent Vanquis a letter asking for my interest rates to be reduced.

Today I had a message on my answering machine from Vanquis asking me to call them back. So I called them back and they said "We have noted that you have been an excellent customer however we are unable to lower your interest rates".

Lovely. I will be cancelling my account at the end of this month.
