    Morning guys,

    just wanted to post quickly thanking you for all the info on this and the previous thread.
    I was made redundant a few yrs ago and ended up with 3 :eek: CCJs.

    No one would touch me with a barge pole which made things awfully difficult, even private renting is next to impossible with that sort of record.

    About a year ago I read these threads and applied for a capital one card, I was approved for a classic and I also got a next account as well.
    I've worked hard to use them little and often and pay each one in full each month.

    I've now just been accepted for a Vanquis card with a £450 limit.

    I realise I'm still sub prime and will be until 2013 :confused:, but, at least I have found that I can get small amounts of credit and how to use those responsibly. (which is a bit of a lifesaver when your fridge dies the day before Christmas Eve!).

    So, many thanks for taking the time to put info on here, although I haven't posted on here before I am a confirmed and grateful lurker. :beer:
    Total debt at LB Moment (Nov 2007) = £6583 £4649 20.03.09
    £5060 Black horse Loan - £4114 as of 20.03.09
    £940 o/d with hsbc - -£535 as of 20.03.09

    Hi Score, I applied for that account and got accepted but declined for the CC! They only did one search!

    Usually (in my experience with HSBC) an institution will do one search and then the computer willl tell them what services they can offer you! :)

    They searched Experian for me, which is a shame cos if they had searched Equifax I think they would have accepted me for everything! lol

    My brother who is ridden with defaults and CCJ's got an A&L account.
    They have not given him an O/D though......

    I find it funny as his credit is TERRIBLE

    * At least 8 linked addresses for the past 3 years
    * At least 15 defaults
    * DCA's of his case
    * CCJ's etc

    He applied for a natwest account about 9 - 12 months ago and got accepted.

    Servicecard £250 O/D £1300 and pre-approved loan all offered!

    No suprise he run his account so badly that they downgraded everything, removed O/D given cashcard LOL

    I would like to add that he does earn a good salary over 50k but is just USELESS with budgeting, making payments etc......

    I didn't appeal! I was going to but then read on here that very few people have any success with them after appealling!

    So I just left it! I have the account now but don't use it!
