    Make you laugh......

I assume all of you have seen the abbey offer that basically states if you are accepted for a current account with an O/D you will automatically get accepted for a CC.
I applied for the Abbey account for this reason ( I already have an account with £1500 O/D ) and this was approved, great new account and £1000 O/D offered.

I then spoke to them about this auto accept for a CC and was told yes this is true, ANY CUSTOMER WHO IS OFFERED A MFC IS AUTO ACCEPTED FOR A CC. Anyway considering I had both MFC and new account with O/D I applied. Got DECLINED LOL!

    Appeal is now under way!

It does state this on there website that this is a valid offer....

Anyway, If they don;t grant it I will request the search is removed as they have not completed what was offered...

    Oh well.

I just appealed there decision and was told that if you are not automatically accepted for the account and it has to go through the underwriters then you don't get accepted and you have to wait three months so they can see how you run your account.

I applied for the account three months ago heard nothing so thought I had been declined got an email from them last week saying yep all accepted overdraft visa debt card however it transpires that it was rejected but some underwriter without my knowledge decided to appeal the decision for me and that is how I got the account.

Do you have a good credit file?

Maybe if you got passed for the current account straight away you would not have to wait.

The branch told me that it should be auto accept
