Just had my 40 minute "interview" with Northern Bank. They verified me electornically whilst I was on the phone and he said the documents will be sent out within 72 hours.

    Joy!

Can I ask do you live on the UK mainland and which account did you apply for?

Do you know if you could not have been verified electronically would they have asked for a photocopy of your passport etc.?

Lastly, why was your interview so long, 40 minutes seems like quite a while to open a current account which I presume you were doing.

    Cheers

I live in NI. If you live in mainland UK the basic accounts from Clydesdale or Yorkshire work the same as all 3 banks are owned by the same institution.

I applied for the Personal Access account with Northern.

If they could not verify me electronically I would have had to go into a branch with photo ID and a utility bill.

The interview was 40 minutes as he had to read so much regulatory crap and he also detailed all my expenditure.

    Hello all

I do like to drop in now and again if I have anything to share or update you all on.

Just had my second credit limit increase since being with Capital one since my BR
    discharge in 2004.

Started with £200 then a jump to £800 about 16 months ago now just upped to £1800.

never asked for the increase just had a letter to say that's your new limit.

Why did close your littlewoods account because they are not subprime and the interest is 0%.

would still affect credit ratio availability and could be a waste of credit 'available'
