    Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know what card you get with the Barclays Premier Life account?

I went into branch today and threatened to close my standard current account (over a load of problems I have had with them) and they offered me an upgrade to Premier Life.

Is it worth the £17.50 they want from me?

If anyone has a pic of the card, can i have a look?

    Cheers

You threatened to close your account but instead sold you a product that costs £17.50 a month? Is that not counter productive?

    Hi Cifpower,

No, not counter productive at all.

I had previously applied online for the Premier Life account but was turned down for some reason. I was willing to pay the £25 per month, as i will utilise literally each and every one of the features of the account, but was unable to successfully get approved.

When I explained my frustrations and why I wanted to close my account the guy in Branch said he couldn't understand why the account upgrade didn't go through online, and has manually overwridden the decline.

Furthermore he has discounted the fee from £25 down to £17.50 (normally can only get the reduced rate if you meet certain income criteria.)

Everyone is given a £125 initial limit. If you log out and back in and its gone it means you have been declined.
