    SOS = Save Our Score or something like that. Basically promising not to apply for anything until a certain date as too many searches can damage your credit rating.

    And yes, a 6 month gap between apps for the same card is advisable.

    TBH if you receive an income, be that Income Support, Incapacity Benefit, Disability Allowance, or JSA you would qualify for an OD, if your credit score was good enough too.

    One of my mates is currently unemployed and he is in receipt of JSA and he has an OD with Natwest.
