I really think there could have been less of a hasty to sit in judgement here, and even had you felt you were being helpful then ask some questions to clarify our situation and maybe apply some diplomacy.

To be frank I'd rather you edited your post to remove all our details as I am new to the forum and if I am going to get reactions like that I'll steer well clear.

ok sorry but you did not say that in your first post

That's because I didn't want to go into that kind of personal detail, I just trusted that people would be somewhat gracious with their responses and offer constructive advice. All you had to do was tactfully point out that under certain circumstances it could be fraud rather than jump in all guns blazing, and be accusational - and wrong in fact.

I would like to close the matter now as I really do have enough to deal with, without adding to it. However your response has taken me aback somewhat and lesson learned fully, therefore it is my intention now I have 'justified' our situation to remove personal details regarding our situation, since this is a public forum as it quite rightly states to be careful what you post.

Please could you edit both your posts which contain quotes I have made outlining all the sensitive elements of the issues faced by my Mum and I. It would please me greatly if you were to remove the copies of my posts permanently.

Thank you very much for your input and your anticipated cooperation out of respect for privacy.

    Hi guys,

Just a quick question .. How long does a 3 payment late marker stays on a credit file ? Does a 1 or 2 payment late marker on the credit file stays as long ?? What is marked on the file if one is more than three payment late before being marked with the dreaded "D" ..

Sorry if this already has been posted before, but couldn't find it

    Hi

Hope this helps. When you view your Credit File, the most recent status is on the left, so if you have had a 3 payment late marker which is on the left of your payment history, each month, when the file is updated, it will continue to move to the right, so it becomes older. Technically lenders can view the last 36mths payment on an account, so in theory, it would stay there for the next 36mths, but get older with each month. If you applied for credit again this year, the 3 late payment marker may stand against you, but in twelve months time, if your payments are all Green "0", then they may discount the 3 late payment marker, but as each lender has different criteria, only they can be the final adjudicator.

Also, the 1 and 2 late payment marker is the same as above, so if you were a payment late last month, it would show on the left, and again move further to the right of your payment column each month the bureau updates it's information.

Just signed into my FlyBe account online to see that my credit limit has been raised by £900 to £3900. It has taken 5months for this to happen. I applied for the card in January 2009 and my initial limit was £3000.

I take it that I must be managing my account well, even though it doesn't feel like it sometimes lol

The only thing I have done different with Flybe is not pay off the balance in full last month - normally clear it even if it means borrowing from Peter to pay Paul (taking money out of my savings account to clear my credit card bill :p). I am not sure if this is the reason I have had my limit raised but worth noting nonetheless.

Hope the info is useful to some out there.
