morning! im a newbie here. I have a poor credit score due to having no credit at all in my name!!! Any way i applied for an accessory credit card online as was accepted. I got the card and pin through the post £750 limit! I have been using this card for over a week and even abroad. This morning went to use in a petrol station and it was declined???? I have rang them and they said after further checks i dont reach their criteria!! What a cheek!! Do you think i should appeal this?:mad:

I have never heard that before!

And how they expect you to pay back what you have spent so far?

Thats very slack on their part! Who issues The Accessory card? You should definately appeal!

I just noticed the income requirements for all of the Capital One cards except the classic card.

They want you to be earning £20,000 and be a homeowner. Have they just increased this requirement? I could swear it was £10,000 last week. Pretty high requirements I think.

Happened to me with Natwest and yes they can do it and unfortunately you will have to pay back what you spent within 30 days (usually) i.e. cancellation period.

Its a bummer but seems you failed their additional checks. Pointless really arguing as they are tight at the best of times. I'd just wait and see if they write to you and if so, let us know what it says.....

Try Vanquis - you probably be ok with them.... :rolleyes:
