Morning, as iv mentioned before iv worked so hard to try and get my finances back in order and am finally getting back on the credit ladder (tho sensibly this time) after years of feeling like a second class citizen with only an electron card to my name.
This morning i got a letter from buchananclark and wells from an old debt that i didnt even remember i had from about 5 and a half years ago. I phoned them up and tried to come to some sort of an agreement with them, i offered just under half the money owed which my mum was going to lend me. The girl refused saying they would just have to take me to court then. Now i am panicking i really dont want a court order to ruin everything i have worked so hard for but there is no way i can afford to pay the amount they want.
Does anyone have any suggestions? any help will be GREATLY received

I would be inclined to get them to send proof of ownership of the debt before even speaking to them... Snotty b1tch don't you hate people liek that?! Just be nice !!!!!!!

Well Hubby had a nice rejection letter from Cap1 this morning.

I'm not sure whether to send off an appeal letter, as the reason they gave was his financial links (me).

I used to have a cap1 account, now with a dca, plus i have recently claimed back all my charges.

We don't have joint accounts, everything is totally seperate. Things seem to work much better now. We used to have one which we closed because we didn't use it that much.

I'm not sure if that would be grounds to appeal though, although I feel he's wasted a search!

Next have jacked up my limit again to £3600. They make absolutely no sense to me.

Guys was on my online Banking with Halifax yesterday and previously had a £500.00 overdraft which I dip into now and again. Anyway I looked on the apply/change overdraft screen and it said pre approved for £600.00 so I upped it straight away, no harm eh? Then I got a confirmation letter today and just checked the screen again this arvo and it said pre-approved for £3,500.00 overdraft so I snapped it up. :T

Dont know why it jumped so much but thought it was all good so ran with it :)

Going to see Oasis in Cardiff tomorrow so what a nice surprise to have in my last working afternoon this week :)
