Hi All, Just a quick update since my stupid moment with my Capital One card. Anyhow, thanks to all of you, my credit building seems to be going ok....

    Cap1 - £100
JD Williams - £150 (this just today)
    NatWest - Current account
    T-Mobile - contract

    All since January.

Kindly go away from Vanquis and Littlewoods Direct.

Oh and my OH got a Cap1 at £100 too, despite having had a run in with them before.

I do read much more than I post, but I just wanted to pop in and say hi.

Thanks Seeya, I keep getting sweaty palms if I think about it too much. Seems like a house of cards as I never ever thought I would get to where I am now.

Anyway, really it is well done to all of you guys who regularly contribute to this thread and share your experience and knowledge with people starting out on the road...

Good luck with the stopping smoking. Afraid is is my guilty pleasure when the kids have gone to bed - but only then so not too much.:D

'Currently taking Champix to help me stop smoking '-

    does this work well?
It really helped my friend. They have given me 2 weeks of tablets and I am only on day 4. You stop smoking between day8 and day14 of taking the tablets.

The only thing that has made me consider stopping smoking is the price. £5 a pack is £25 a week that could go to paying off my debts.

I NEED to stop, but I just can't. I think 'Oh, maybe it'll say yes this month as I've got 6 extra 0's, but then again I've usually got 6 extra searches. Got around 13 searches in the last 3 months alone on Experian.

I need 6 months off applying, it's just so hard..... :(
