I'm determined now.... we'll see how long I can go. I start my new job tomorrow. Getting £14000 per year (before tax) both doing both the new job and my part time job at the cinema. It's not a lot, but not bad for my first two jobs. Working 6 days a week though. Really want to knuckle down and save some money for Uni (if I go next year).

In other news, the CG card that HSBC sent me the other day has a problem with the chip. It works in cash points, but whenever I use a chip and pin machine, it seas incorrect pin number constantly. They're sending a new one out.

Morning, as iv mentioned before iv worked so hard to try and get my finances back in order and am finally getting back on the credit ladder (tho sensibly this time) after years of feeling like a second class citizen with only an electron card to my name.
This morning i got a letter from buchananclark and wells from an old debt that i didnt even remember i had from about 5 and a half years ago. I phoned them up and tried to come to some sort of an agreement with them, i offered just under half the money owed which my mum was going to lend me. The girl refused saying they would just have to take me to court then. Now i am panicking i really dont want a court order to ruin everything i have worked so hard for but there is no way i can afford to pay the amount they want.
Does anyone have any suggestions? any help will be GREATLY received

Do not respond - after 6yrs it becomes statute barred so whatever you do ignore it! Look here for details of what i'm on about: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1674391&page=25

Did I mention, I got declined for HSBC credit card at the same time 1st Direct declined me? Well I appealed and they sent me my terms etc yesterday - in my appeal I asked for a £3 grand limit, letters shows £3k limit....

I argued on the basis I was existing customer and had a very good behaviour score - they overruled original decline.

Therefore HSBC do override credit agency data with internal behaviour score. I have 3 cifas right now, hsbc added one at the rejection but will now remove after my appeal (phew).... also got them to up my overdraft! Marvelous....

    CC - 16.9% @ 0% on purchases and BT's for 15mths...

Cheers.... If I had a sig like yours it'd say:

    HSBC Bank - O/D - £750
    HSBC Bank - O/D - £750
    HSBC CC - £3k limit (16.9%)
    CitiGold - £2k limit (14.9%)
    BOI Gold - £1k limit (16.9%)
    Vanquis - £500 limit (29.9%)
    LaRedoute - £250 limit

Studio Gifts - £80 limit (lol)

    Thats my lot lol

Oh, balances are all pretty much £0 as well.

For the record I have the following searches etc on CRA's....

Experian: 247 searches in last 12 months - no derogatory data
Equifax: 370 searches in last 12 months (over 200 are to be removed though) + linked address defaults - Not mine!
Cifas - 3 cifas, lloyds TSB, HBOS & HSBC - all category 4 application fraud (due to incorrect linked address)

lol Your rates is 29.9% on Vanquis? Lucky! I think it's a good thing that my rates are too high, otherwise I'd have maxed out my card by now.

£3200 is enough to buy the lovely motorbike I've been craving so much for. I've had to resort to the more traditional methods of saving each month.
