I think that the scoring element of the accessory card is possibly quite lenient, a few on here have been accepted and even a low limit is a start Go for it..you know you want to

Only new accounts - got 3 nice green o's from them now, but all my credit accounts are new so got really low credit score. Was v surprised to be accepted by Barclaycard & Vanquis - Cap 1, Aqua, Post Office, Tesco, Flybe all declined. Nothing bad on file, no defaults, CCJs, late payments etc - just no history. Really difficult to get a break with these guys.

OK so if you apply for Accessory I might....

OK so if you apply for Accessory I might....

Vanquis will increase quickly with good account conduct as will both Jd's accounts. My Vanquis started like yours at £250 going to £500 then £1250 in the space of 7 months..Jd's if used virtually increase monthly, again I started at £125.
I have old defaults and my accounts only date back to Sept last year, slow process but you will get there.
Barclaycard and Smile are not the EASIEST of lenders so you are well on the way :beer:

Hi all

Well due to this board, me and hubby are on the way to rebuilding our credit files. :j We have managed to get Vanquis each, and he has jd williams, and next too. (I'm too scared to apply for anything else!)

I don't want to stumble at the first block, so can I just ask about jd williams. We have a v small balance on there, do they send you a statement through the post or by email?

Only reason I ask is that he doesn't check his emails all the time, so I'm in charge, and I don't want to miss the date!

JD Williams, will send you a regular statement, usually every 28 days, you can register and check everything online with them.

Statement is by post..you can then pay online or by bank giro slip..
